2022 TOYOTA CAMRY

Filed May 28, 2026

22’ Camry LE. Was driving over a bridge that’s undergoing construction, as many areas around me are. There were few lines painted to distinguish lanes. Driving in the right lane when (I’m assuming) Lane Assist suddenly pulled me to the right. Thankfully I caught it before anything had happened, but if it hadn’t, I would’ve gone straight into a concrete barrier at the edge of a bridge on a busy street (and over one). The most unsafe part? This feature can’t be disabled permanently. It’s…

This recall {25TA06} has been out since May 15 2025, it's been over a year now. I have called a few times and nobody know anything when this will be completed. Rumors on line say they took care of the ones at the dealership but not the ones that customers purchased. All I need is about when this will be taken care of. Thank you

2018 TOYOTA CAMRY

Filed May 28, 2026

I own a 2018 Toyota Camry equipped with the UA80 8-speed automatic transmission. I have experienced the following symptoms: burning smell coming from the transmission, hesitation and jerking during acceleration, and previously noticed a knocking/clunking noise that eventually stopped on its own. These symptoms are consistent with the known UA80 transmission defect involving excessive heat buildup, premature fluid degradation, and torque converter failure. I am aware that Toyota has known about…

2025 TOYOTA RAV4

Filed May 28, 2026

My daughter reported an incident that occurred on XXX while driving this vehicle. As she drove, it slammed on the brakes (without any input from her) causing her to skid. The vehicle brought itself to a stop and the engine turned off. She reported that there were no vehicles or other object close to the front of her vehicle. The incident did not cause a crash or cause anyone to be injured. It was, however, a very scary situation that almost caused her to be rear-ended by the vehicles that were…

2018 TOYOTA CAMRY

Filed May 28, 2026

When driving, the car would go into limp mode and wouldn’t get out of 2nd gear. it was super jerky as well. when taken to a mechanic, it was diagnosed with malfunctioning transmission among some other things such as brakes and tires. we take fairly great care of our vehicles and get them seen for regular maintenance. once the car started acting up, the check engine light came on. it is now unsafe to drive and two mechanics have confirmed an issue with the transmission, which is now also in a…

2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER

Filed May 28, 2026

Transmission failure (whining noise similar to the well-documented issue with UA80F 8-speed transmissions). I reported the noise and requested a specific diagnosis at approximately 95k miles --- no warning lamps/warnings were visible, just noticeable noise while driving without the radio on. On May 22, 2026, Torrington Toyota confirmed that the transmission was failed, but vehicle is drivable. As I purchased a Toyota Extended warranty, Toyota has approved the order of a remanufactured unit,…

2017 TOYOTA TUNDRA

Filed May 28, 2026

Front grille piece on hood keeps coming off even after being replaced 4 times now and this last time it flew off busted my windshield on the expressway and Toyota just tells me to go to collision center as a solution! This piece just snaps in as it's just plastic and it just flys off the front when it catches air under it, it busted my windshield, messed me hood up and flew down the side of my truck on the expressway and could have caused a major accident this time! Toyota refuses to do…

2018 TOYOTA RAV4

Filed May 28, 2026

The contact owned a 2018 Toyota RAV4. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a defect with the key fob and the door locks for the passenger doors. When starting the vehicle, the brake locking mechanism could not detect the key, and a message was displayed indicating that the key was not found. The contact stated that he had to open and close the door for the vehicle to engage and recognize the key. Additionally, the vehicle failed to lock automatically, which forced the contact to lock…

2020 TOYOTA RAV4

Filed May 28, 2026

The contact owns a 2020 Toyota RAV4. The contact stated that while driving, the contact observed a swishing noise coming from the rear passenger door. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed the swishing noise when moving the door. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that water had collected in the rear passenger door and all door seals needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was…

2022 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER

Filed May 28, 2026

The contact's daughter owns a 2022 Toyota Highlander. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the contact noticed an abnormal sound coming from the exterior of the vehicle. The driver pulled to a highway hot shop. Upon inspection, the contact noticed that the upper side of the lower front bumper cover had detached and the cover was hanging and dragging. The contact secured the cover with strings and was able to continue driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be repaired…
