2010 TOYOTA TACOMA

Filed Jun 22, 2026

The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that while the vehicle was with an independent mechanic for a scheduled service, the contact was informed that the frame underneath the engine was rusted. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that an unknown recall associated with the failure had expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no…

Both the front passenger and front driver's side doors will not open from the inside. First, the passenger side door handle became defective (I took it to the Toyota dealer and they said the interior handle assembly broke where the cable connects to the handle). The part is back ordered in the thousands. Then about a month later, the same thing happened to the driver's side door. That part is also back ordered in the thousands. Now, I am unable to open either front door from the inside -…

The key fob separate from the key dangles while driving and with manual seats there is no way to adjust the seat up or down and while accelerating or braking, while moving leg and foot the knee hits the key fob and causes the key to turn while driving leading to a hazardous safety condition, Toyota needs to integrate the key fob into the key so nothing is dangling to get hit by the knee and knock key out of position

2024 TOYOTA TACOMA

I’ve had this truck for less than 2 years and the driver’s indoor handle has snapped and broken twice. The handle stays intact but the inner component breaks. The only way to open the door is from the outside of the vehicle. This is extremely dangerous in case of an emergency. I either have to roll the window down to open the window from the outside or climb out of the drivers seat and use an alternate door in the car. The dealership fixed the issue the first time and advised that this has…

2026 TOYOTA TACOMA

The rear bumper of my recently purchased vehicle is physically misaligned and structurally deformed. Dealership service personnel initially acknowledged the defect and ordered repair parts, but later refused to fix it, claiming it is 'within factory specification.' This structural misalignment directly impacts the orientation of the vehicle's rear safety sensors, blind-spot monitors, and cross-traffic radar systems. A misaligned bumper housing can cause these driver-assistance systems to…

2017 TOYOTA TACOMA

Filed Jun 18, 2026

Common issue reported amongst 2016-2019 Toyota Tacoma owners. Noticed brake fluid dripping from under driver's side dash directly under brake pedal onto floor mat. Upon inspection, found brake fluid dripping down from what appears to be brake booster. Leaking brake booster should be a safety recall with replacement covered by Toyota.

My father and I both purchased a 2025 Toyota Tacoma SR5 2WD double cab last year brand new from different dealerships, both were in FL. My father was driving his new Tacoma with adaptive cruise control engaged, this was on an interstate, and the vehicle in front of him moved to the left lane next to him and started braking and this caused his vehicle to start braking extremely hard with no vehicles in front of him (he was driving about 55mph when this happened). He said this has happened to him…

2005 TOYOTA TACOMA

Filed Jun 18, 2026

I discovered frame perforation rust, for which Toyota sent letters offering to repair or compensate. I have moved to Florida and the letters didn't forward. So I notified Toyota and they said they would not do anything to help. There was a prior class-action lawsuit about this, which prompted Toyota's action. I have sent Toyota mechanic statements and photos of the rust along with m y nice letter requesting help. They offered that I could get my vehicle inspected at a Toyota dealer, at my…

2025 TOYOTA TACOMA

I went to open my drivers side door to get out, and the handle just flopped around and didnt open the door. Driver side door opener handle doesn't work. Have to roll down driver side window with truck engine on and lift outside door handle to open driver door. In case of emergency, and no power in truck, I would not be able to get out of my drivers side door.

2025 TOYOTA TACOMA

The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 10 MPH, the rear driver's and passenger’s side rotors and brake pads suddenly detached. No warning lights were illuminated. Upon further inspection, the contact became aware of metal debris on the ground by the rear wheels. The vehicle was scheduled to be towed to a local dealer for further investigation. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. In addition, the contact related the failure to NHTSA…
