2017 TOYOTA SIENNA

Filed Jun 23, 2026

I have a 2017 Toyota Sienna XLE with about 120k miles on it. Out of nowhere the transmission was gear hunting and surging. It eventually became impossible to get it above 30 mph. It seemed like the transmission just went haywire. No lights on the dash let me know anything was wrong. Thankfully I had just pulled off the highway. Otherwise it could've been bad. I couldn't drive it safely so I had it towed to the nearest Toyota dealership. They said that the transmission needed to be replaced.…

2017 TOYOTA SIENNA

While driving at speed, the vehicle suffered a sudden and complete loss of engine power and stalled in traffic. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic who found a failed factory-installed Denso fuel pump module. This failure mirrors Toyota Safety Recall 20TA02 (NHTSA Campaign 20V012) for the exact same model year 2017 Toyota Sienna, but my specific VIN is currently excluded from the recall list. The un-recalled defective component created an immediate highway safety hazard as me…

2018 TOYOTA SIENNA

Filed Jun 21, 2026

Since owning my 2018 Toyota Sienna, I have experienced hesitation and erratic shifting with my transmission. I have the UA80E transmission which upon research others are experiencing issues with as well. It appears Toyota is not fully acknowledging the problem. The problem is a safety issue as sometimes when you go to quickly accelerate (merging, making a turn while starting from a stop, etc) the transmission hesitates and doesn't engage for a few seconds. This is an ongoing problem with the…

2020 TOYOTA SIENNA

We had our van parked on a driveway with a front facing slope, we had hard rains went we where going away there was water coming out of the seat belt on the passenger side and the panel above the window was stained down to the window support where the air bag is. I've been reading reports as far back as 2008 we have a 2020, went taken to the dealer they want 1000 to 2700 to remove the head liner and try to fine the problem, which what was reported didn't help. The dealer recommended to not park…

2021 TOYOTA SIENNA HYBRID

1. The rear underbody air conditioning (AC) lines and their supporting structural mounting brackets have failed due to severe corrosion. Specifically, a heavy steel mounting bracket has rusted excessively, causing localized galvanic corrosion at the point of contact with the adjacent aluminum AC lines. This structural and material failure caused the aluminum line to erode, crack, and leak high-pressure chemical refrigerant into the environment. The vehicle, failed components, and detailed…

Scenario 2 one time --- SCENARIO 1: Curved Road / No Lane Markings --- Conditions: ACC set at 25 MPH on an undivided two-way road with no lane markings. 2015 TOYOTA SIENNA

Filed Jun 18, 2026

My 2015 Toyota Sienna has “Sticky” steering. When on a curve, like an highway curved ramp, the steering locks in place. I have to pull the steering wheel back to keep the car on track. When it sticks I can literally let go on a curve and it will hold it’s position. Even when driving straight this occurs. The steering wheel will stick in place requiring me to turn it to get the steering wheel to come back to the desired or correct position. I’m seeing that this is a regular problem for Toyota…
