Crash

While driving my 2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid (VIN [XXX], approximately 354 miles on the odometer), I was involved in a frontal collision. Event Data Recorder (EDR) data retrieved from the vehicle's Airbag Control Module via Bosch CDR tool confirms the following: The Pre-Collision System (PCS) On/Off switch was ON and the system reported Enable status (no fault/DTC) throughout the 5-second pre-crash window. The Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system status was recorded as On, Non-Engaged for the…

The sunglasses hatch is impaired which causes items to fall from the overhead, impairing the driver. This is a commonly reported issue amongst Internet forums and at the particular dealer I took it for repair. It is not easily repairable and if someone does not know about this issue, like me, it could cause it to fall on them and wreck when driving.

I purchased my vehicle new from the dealership in 2025. After driving the vehicle for several months I noticed the back seat floors were filling with road dirt and debris. I also noticed water was getting into the doors frames. This will certainly cause rust to the doors early on. I made an appointment with the dealership to investigate the problem, and looked forward to them resolving the issues. The dealership had the regional tech person (FTS) come out to look into the matter. I was told…

2019 TOYOTA RAV4

While driving in the mountains on a hot day, the car suddenly reported numerous faults, including check engine, parking brake malfunction, pre-collision system malfunction, AWD system malfunction, and secondary collision brake system malfunction. The car lost power and forced us to pull over on the side of a dangerous mountain highway. We powered-off the car for a few minutes and started it again and were able to proceed to our nearby remote mountain destination without another loss of power,…

The internal GPS compass is faulty, causing turn-by-turn instructions to be confusing, constantly changing, and suggesting illegal turns. These problems are constant, which makes driving dangerous unless GPS is not used. Evidence: [XXX] [XXX] Toyota acknowledges the problem, but will not fix it. 2019 TOYOTA RAV4

We were driving down the highway passing another vehicle when we lost steering and the dash said Steering Power Loss. We pulled to the side of the road where the vehicle stalled and would not restart. Probably 10-15 minutes later the vehicle started and we eventually made it to our destination. It was quite scary trying to get to the side of the road, in heavy traffic, and pulling over where there really was no shoulder, and not knowing whether the car would eventually restart or what. Although…
