2023 NISSAN ROGUE

Filed Aug 5, 2026

I brought my car to my mechanic for a routine oil change and the drain plug on the oil pain failed. It is made with plastic and melted due to exposure to high engine heat rendering it useless and requiring the oil pan and drain to be replaced. When we called Nissan they said this is a known issue with several Nissan models and they have since had to retrofit a part to correct the malfunction. Had this plug failed while I was driving it could have caused massive engine failure. There were no…

2016 NISSAN SENTRA

Filed Aug 5, 2026

On Friday, July 3, 2026, at approximately 9:30 PM, while driving on the parkway at an approximate speed of 65 miles per hour and preparing to merge onto the highway, the vehicle unexpectedly stalled completely. I was able to safely maneuver the vehicle to the shoulder of the road. After a few minutes, once the immediate traffic situation on the highway entrance cleared, I attempted to re-engage the vehicle. While the engine started, it immediately began revving excessively high without…

2022 NISSAN ROGUE

Filed Aug 5, 2026

Driving down the highway on a family road trip the car suddenly flashed all warning lights and goes in to limp mode. We’re on the highway surrounded by cars going 80+ and trying to get to the side. We’re reach an exit and limp to an autozone where they read a code about an EGR system. Car gets towed to the dealer and they’ve determined there is coolant in the oil and the engine needs replaced. There is a recall for engine failure but they say this isn’t related. They can’t say what caused the…

2015 NISSAN MURANO

Filed Aug 5, 2026

The transfer case on my Nissan Murano developed an oil leak. a leaking transfer case that is low or complete loss can cause overheating, internal damage or sudden failure of the transfer case while driving, resulting in a loss of power to the wheels, unexpected vehicle deceleration, loss of all-wheel drive capability increasing the risk of crash creating a safety hazard. no warnings from the car are giving that this is happening, so a sudden loss of control can happen at any time. service fee…

2017 NISSAN ALTIMA

Filed Aug 5, 2026

Shuddering and loss of acceleration/vehicle slowed on its own while driving on the highway. Managed to get to Firestone and diagnostic codes P0776 and P0841 came up. Advised to take vehicle to dealer shop as work could not be done on CVT there. Car was towed to Nissan Bonney Road Virginia Beach. Transmission replacement recommended and my car only has 53,000 miles on it but is outside the 84 month extended warranty drafted from class action lawsuits and settlement. I was not aware of these…

My door lock buttons do not work and I took the vehicle in to the dealer and I was 3000 miles over my warranty , they did not want to cover the cost of the repair it is dangerous because what if I have children in the back and I can’t open the door from the front door, I can open them with the key remote or I need to get off the vehicle and push the button on my door from the outside ! If there is an accident it could be a life or death issue !
