The left-side steering wheel control switch assembly governing the driver information matrix and emergency assist features malfunctioned, and this failed component remains on the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. This sudden loss of functionality put safety at risk by restricting my ability to navigate vital safety menus and emergency settings while operating the vehicle, creating an active driver distraction. The problem has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer…

There was built up sludge in my engine that caused it to fail, and I was charged to replace it

2017 NISSAN PATHFINDER

Filed Aug 13, 2026

SLUDGE IN ENGINE- UNDER 100,000 MILES We had been keeping up with all recommended services, and it is cosmetically perfect, but the car is now a total loss. A Check Engine light came on, and we began to notice a tremor/shake and took it to Southern Team Nissan. The Nissan dealer diagnosed sludge in the engine and said it would need a total engine replacement. The Nissan dealer advised that the cost of that would be more than the car was worth. After they pulled the pan to check if there was…

2016 NISSAN PATHFINDER

Driving along and it felt as if I were driving over a rumble strip. It stopped after a while, but later that evening I felt it again, but this time the shudder was stronger and it sounded almost like a loud bird chirping. I slowed and the noise stopped, but drove home slowly through the neighborhood in case something happened. I took it to the mechanic and he suggested trading it in before it gets worse, and he mentioned transmission judder, so I researched and found I'm one of many.

The vehicle veers towards the right, even though a wheel alignment was completed on 7/1/26. On 7/28/26 when driving the vehicle, it wouldn’t accelerate properly, it felt sluggish and although the gas pedal was depressed it was struggling to pick up speed. As the vehicle was attempting to shift between 2nd and 3rd gears the car jolted forward and the traction control and collision lights came on. Both lights reset when the car is off but the vehicle jolts and beeps w/in 5 mins of driving and…
