Torque Converter- The torque converter on my 2019 Nissan Titan -4X failed at approximately 68,000. Symptoms began as cold-start shudder lasting several minutes, progressing to pronounced shudder under light throttle acceleration between 25–50 MPH, erratic shifting at the 3-4 and 4-5 gear transitions, and TCC (torque converter clutch) slip. These symptoms created unpredictable drivetrain behavior at highway speeds, presenting a safety risk to myself and other drivers. The problem was diagnosed…

My truck currently has approximately 112,000 miles. Recently, it suffered a high-pressure CP4 fuel pump failure that sent metal debris throughout the fuel system. The failure has been diagnosed by both an authorized Nissan dealership and an independent diesel repair facility. Both concluded that the fuel system has been contaminated and requires replacement of the high-pressure pump, injectors, fuel rails, fuel lines, and related components. I was driving down the road in Atlanta traffic and on…

The vehicles front Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system, part of the Safety Shield 360 suite, has activated several times without any obstacle, vehicle, pedestrian or hazard present in the roadway. This is commonly known as phantom braking. The system triggers unexpected braking during normal driving conditions, which creates a risk of read end collision from following traffic and loss of vehicle control response time. In my specific case the issue happens during bright sunshine when the…

Fire

2021 Nissan Titan XD was being driven. I was listening to an audio book through android auto. I began to hear a noice I can best describe as a beep or squeal like you might hear from an electronic toy with a battery about to die. I thought the sound was coming from the center console and was trying to identify the source when I observed flames erupt behind the passenger door speaker grill. I exited the vehicle and opened the passenger side door where I patted the speaker grill and was able…

Dealership signed off on NHTSA Recall 22V671 / Nissan Bulletin NTB22-085 in 2023 as 'reprogramming not needed.' The vehicle's transmission software is currently mismatched/corrupted, causing transmission fault codes. The manufacturer (Nissan Consumer Affairs) and the local dealer are refusing to honor the safety remedy and are attempting to charge a $240 diagnostic fee to investigate a failed recall campaign.

Cylinder 4-5 which caused catastrophic engine failure. CP4 fuel pump. Crank shaft broken, Metal flakes in oil. Differential service. Was on the road from [XXX] to [XXX] and broke down in [XXX]. Just bought the truck from Lakeland Automall on May 8th and broke down on May 31st. Was in a bad spot to pull over and from what I have gathered we were lucky the Truck didn't catch fire.
