My vehicle received a Nissan recall repair for a fuel pump/fuel tank temperature (FTT) sensor harness defect that can short-circuit and blow the fuel pump fuse, causing a stall. About three weeks and 350 miles after that repair, the engine stalled unexpectedly while driving on a public road, creating a crash risk. An independent shop diagnosed it: fuel pump fuse blown, FTT sensor fault code present, no fuel pump activity on key-on-engine-off test. Replacing the fuse got it running, but the…

Fire

On June 2, 2026, a spontaneous fire ignited in my 2021 Nissan NV 3500 HD Van w/ approx 65,741 miles near the instrument panel while the vehicle was parked in my driveway at about 11:00am. It had last been driven at about 7:45am when we observed the turn signal blinkers were acting erratically, blinking rapidly. The fire burst a hole in the drivers side of the windshield . Nobody was injured and the fire was contained to just the van thanks to swift action by my wife and neighbor to use fire…

While driving the vehicle on the highway it suddenly it made a ticking noise and would not go more than 40 miles per hour. We limped into a repair shop. The vehicle has less than 7,000 miles on it when it failed. It left a group stranded and had to be pushed off the road. The problem was confirmed at a…

While idling, the vehicle shutoff on it’s own and restarted. Then again while stopped at a red light and again while driving to a mechanic. No warnings or indications that this would happen. It put myself and children at risk because the roads are full of snow leaving us no place for us to pull over. Now the air pressure, windshield fluid and traction control lights are on, whereas they were not previously lit. I’m currently at an independent service center waiting for diagnosis. ***Update:…
