Nissan NV200

While driving the vehicle on the highway it suddenly it made a ticking noise and would not go more than 40 miles per hour. We limped into a repair shop. The upper catalyst crumbled and was sucked into the lower catalyst causing total failure. The vehicle was completely incapacitated on the roadway. This is all available for inspection. While idling, the vehicle shutoff on it’s own and restarted. Then again while stopped at a red light and again while driving to a mechanic. No warnings or indications that this would happen. I was driving 75MPH down the interstate when out of nowhere my engine started acting funny. It started to slow down and then the check engine light came on. As we were exiting the engine started stuttering. We were able to get it to a gas station. It was towed to a mechanic where they found that there were multiple cylinder misfires.
