2024 GMC YUKON XL
Filed Jul 16, 2026
We're in the waiting period for our 3rd engine. 1st engine failure, while driving on interstate at 70+ MPH, engine stopped running, causing a very unsafe condition for family and surrounding vehicles. Engine failure 2 days later, towed to dealership for inspection, replacement engine was installed ~4 weeks later. 2nd engine failure, while driving on interstate at 75+ MPH, engine seemed underpowered and would rev upwards of 6000+RPMs, not exactly unsafe, but not usual operating conditions…

On XXX I started on a 3 hour trip with my daughter in the truck. My vehicle lost power and started knocking in the engine compartment. We were going over a very big Bridge([XXX]) from [XXX] to [XXX]. I had to coast off the highway and made it to a park. Truck would not restart and would not go into neutral. Waited 5 hours for AAA and was drug onto the flat bed truck because it would not go into neutral. It was then towed to the dealership(Union Park GMC) in [XXX], where they had to drag it off…

The integrated trailer brake system abruptly fails while towing heavy loads, completely disabling trailer break stopping power and creating an imminent threat of highway crash and serious bodily injury. The sound system inherently stops working and will not produce sound from any device in the truck weather that be Hazards, Blinkers, Radio including AM,FM, Sirus Radio, Bluetooth or Car play as well as OnStar. The truck has been taken to a certified GMC dealer 4 times for these exact issues…

P1098 code indicating stuck/ unresponsive engine coolant control valve. N252508341 exists for this part; however claim is my VIN is not covered under the bulletin or included on any standard warranty coverage. Part should last more than 150k miles, vehicle less than 90k. Less than 2 weeks ago suffered a complete EBPV failure that destroyed coolant and DEF lines, also not covered. No explanation for why my specific VIN (a 3.0L diesel in the supposedly covered MY) is excluded. Have been…

The 10 speed automatic transmission shakes and jumps between gears. The transmission also shakes and rumbles at cruising speeds. The diesel engine version of this truck is already recalled. My truck is a gas engine and should also be recalled. This is the same defective 10 speed transmission used in all GM vehicles and recalled in many. This vehicle needs to be recalled and fix before the wheels lock up and kill someone.

TSB 19-NA-121. My truck is experiencing the exact issues detailed in the listed TSB. Randomly and quite often my truck feels like I am running over speed bumps. This just started about 3 days ago. The truck has been maintained. Oil is changed on time and there was a 100,000 mile service and I just had a 150,000 service done. Currently there are roughly $148,000 miles on the vehicle. Is there a way to have GM cover the costs of the repairs even though my VIN# was not listed. Also I am…
2023 GMC SIERRA 1500
Filed Jul 15, 2026
The upper top grille mold detached from the vehicle while traveling at highway speed (about 65 mph). It hit the hood, which it scratched and flew off into the air, above the vehicle and in the way of oncoming traffic. Fortunately, no one was behind me so the part did not hit another vehicle. Vehicle had around 65k miles when this occured. I have contacted a local dealership who informed me that while many similar vehicles have a recall for this issue my VIN is not included in that recall.

I purchased this new full-size heavy-duty pickup, and at purchase the selling dealer installed a 3-inch suspension lift kit with 37-inch tires on 22-inch wheels as a paid dealer upfit. The lift kit manufacturer publishes a maximum tire size of 35 inches on a 20-inch wheel for this kit; the tires and wheels the dealer installed exceed that spec. The lift manufacturer confirmed directly that they would never approve exceeding the 35-inch tire / 20-inch wheel recommendation. The dealer's assistant…
