2020 CADILLAC CT4

Filed Jun 23, 2026

The electronic brake control module, break retainer, brake master cylinder and brake valve all failed. I was driving to lunch and coming down a hill when multiple warning lights turned on as I pressed the brakes. I had almost no braking power as I approached a stop sign that lets you enter a highway almost causing me to drive through the stop sign and into cross traffic. I had enough bearings to down shift it and slow it down enough to stop. If I have went through the stop sign, it could have…

Vehicle stalled while driving on a busy road creating a very dangerous situation. Could not put it in neutral to push it out of the road; it was partially in the road for over an hour. Had to have it towed to replace the fuel pump and fuel pump control unit. Found two recalls after the incident and was told by Cadillac that my VIN was excluded. 1. Fuel Pump Assembly Recall (N202314760 / NHTSA Campaign 20V639) Fuel Pump Power Control Module Recall (N252516900) Out of pocket expense was $1173.97

2025 CADILLAC ESCALADE ESV

Filed Jun 23, 2026

In August 2025 I purchased a brand new 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport Platinum. Purchase Price $155,000. I maintained the car to the highest level possible since taking ownership. The total miles put on the car between August 2025 and May 2026 was 6,142. On May 14, 2026 at approx. 8am EST I was driving the car southbound on Alternate AIA (going from my house to my office). As the car was approaching the intersection of Alternate AIA and Hood Road the engine stopped running and turned off. …

Vehicle died leaving the doctor's office due to faulty fuel pump driver control module. Upon research found that this has been an ongoing issue for several years affecting many GM vehicles. Vehicle can stall at any time in traffic causing serious injury or death. Apparently GM does not have a fix for this problem & the company's solution is to replace the faulty module with modules that have the same defects. Also, when affected vehicles stall in traffic, the parking brakes set & there is no…

2019 CADILLAC ESCALADE

Filed Jun 22, 2026

The AFM lifters on 1,7,4,6 cylinders go out with no warning causing shuttering and misfires. Scary! This is the second Escalade with the problem and the 2019 engine has occurred twice in 6 months. I have inserted a lockout device to prevent the vehicle from going into 4 cylinder mode since the last episode (6 months ago) and it still failed another AFM lifter. GM said they will fix the 3rd one under warranty but no guarantees it won't fail again. Who knows where I might be? I am without a…

2024 CADILLAC XT4

Filed Jun 22, 2026

The vehicle has a chronic defect causing rapid, repeating front-end suspension and steering assembly failures. The right front strut and mount failed and were replaced under warranty twice in 2025 (at 29,968 miles and 35,740 miles). In May 2026, the left front strut and mount failed and were replaced. Two days after picking up the vehicle, a cascading mechanical failure occurred when the left front CV axle boot split, covering the wheel well in grease and requiring a complete CV axle shaft…

Crash

On June 16, 2026, while traveling southbound on Highway 67 in Cedar Hill, Texas, my 2015 Cadillac SRX suffered a sudden, catastrophic tracking failure and crashed into a highway wall (Cedar Hill PD CFS Report 7655). Component Failed & Availability: The rear suspension toe link assembly separated at highway speeds, a direct failure matching active GM safety recall NHTSA 21V473. The totaled, un-repaired vehicle is preserved at a Copart yard and is 100% available for inspection. Safety Risk:…
