We bought this car a couple days ago and when driving through rain the wipers get stuck in the up position and do not function at all.
2018 VOLVO XC90
Filed Jun 23, 2026
I am reporting a serious safety concern involving a 2018 Volvo XC90 T8 PHEV. On [XXX], at approximately [XXX] CT, the vehicle experienced a sudden multi-system safety and actual brake failure while in a parking-lot/low-speed setting near [XXX} in Austin, Texas. The vehicle displayed multiple urgent warning messages and indicators, including power steering failure / stop safely, brake/ABS warning, SRS airbag service urgent warning, stability/traction warning, battery/electrical warning,…
2012 VOLVO S60

Brakes , and vacuum booster, speed control I experienced a sudden acceleration phenomenon and reached speeds of 100+ mph I manipulated the brakes and the gas in order to safe my life I eventually got my speeds down but it was too late I was ejected from the vehicle and nearly died my brakes scrubbed and I pressed my brakes as hard as I could and my car continued to acceleration. The police has the vehicle and there were no warnings signs . I had just bought the vehicle and was on my way home…
2022 VOLVO XC60

After a software update to the infotainment system (Android Automotive OS version 5.1.17, installed on 06/03/2026), my 2022 Volvo XC60 B5 intermittently loses all audio output. When the failure occurs, the vehicle produces no sound of any kind: no audible rear parking/proximity sensor warning while in reverse, no turn-signal indicator tones, and no media audio. The rear-view camera image still displays normally, so the loss of the audible backup warning is not obvious to the driver — the…
2025 VOLVO XC60
Filed Jun 21, 2026
I own a 2025 Volvo XC60 plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The vehicle has recurring software defects that create a serious safety risk. First, the infotainment and central control system repeatedly reboots while I am driving. On a single trip from Washington, DC to Burlington, Vermont, the system rebooted approximately 8 to 10 times. It has also rebooted within minutes of starting the vehicle during local driving. Each reboot blanks the center display, which disables the backup/parking camera and…
2020 VOLVO XC60
Filed Jun 19, 2026
Recall identified over a year ago during Q1 2025. Manufacturer and dealer have failed to provide appropriate updates for the repair, and no ETA has been given for repair. The only direction received from manufacturer and dealer was to not plug in the vehicle until the recall is completed. So as it stands, I paid for a plug in hybrid vehicle I haven’t been able to plug it in for over a year as it has a flawed hybrid system that apparently can’t be repaired.
2017 VOLVO V90CC
Filed Jun 18, 2026
This vehicle recently started experiencing a peeling dashboard on the passenger side immediately near/on the airbag region. This peeling has caused the upholstered leather to come apart from the underpinning of the dashboard and is now a safety issue. There is concern that the passenger side airbag system will not work as intended given the delamination on the dashboard. After some Googling, this was apparently a known issue that Volvo knew about as early as 2017 through 2020. They issued at…
2013 VOLVO XC60

Windshield leaks water into cabin. Volvo dealership charged $190 to diagnose problem. Told me I need a new windshield but they do not do glass replacement or repairs. They said sealant is bad at top of windshield. This is the original factory windshield. They referred me to a independent glass company who quoted $900 - $1285 for replacement. Cannot repair only install new windshield. This seems to be a known problem with Volvo cars and the sealant that was used at factory? Not covered…
2026 VOLVO EX90
Filed Jun 17, 2026
Our Volvo 2025 EX90 was a lemon. We experienced two recalls (one for headlight failure) and repetitive charging unit failures. The dealer traded us a 2026 EX90. They said the failures of the 2025 model had been corrected. While driving home from the dealer at 70 mph on the interstate, I received a warning of steering fault. Just after getting it back, the car charging unit failed. Even the Volvo dealer cannot charge the car. It’s either dangerous to drive or it can’t be driven. corporate Volvo…
2024 VOLVO XC60
Filed Jun 17, 2026
I was completely stopped at a left turn. The rear collision sensor went off for no reason. The seat belt locked up so aggressively I could not get a breathe in and it ripped my insulin pump patch right off my stomach. If I was a couple hours away from home my blood sugar would go through the roof and cause ketones which could be fatal. Luckily I was 20 mins away from home. Being a [XXX] since [XXX] I am now [XXX] Volvo told me this is normal safety feature after inspecting the log. I don’t…
