Vehicle was parked in a residential garage with the engine off. A [XXX] child was secured in a rear driver-side car seat. The key fob was inside the vehicle on the passenger side. After the final door was closed, an adult immediately attempted to reopen the driver's door and found it locked. All vehicle doors were locked despite the key fob remaining inside the vehicle. The Engine Control Module (ECM) malfunctioned. The dealer replaced it with a new one. When it malfunctioned, the car would not accelerate to a speed greater than 20mph. This was dangerous because I was driving on a state highway where the speed limit is 55mph, and I could have been rear-ended. Since having the ECM replaced, the car's performance has been fine. The Check Engine light did activate more than one day before the incident, which also sent a message to the Genesis app on my phone.

Vehicle is currently disabled due to Open Recall Campaign #262/023G (NHTSA Recall Number 24V528000) for High-Pressure Fuel Pump Failure. The vehicle experienced a sudden emergency braking intervention on the highway. Alert came on and it said emergency breaking with curved red arrow and the car slowed down from around 70mph-60mph. Lane assist was on but the car was not on cruise control. The problem was resolved after pressing the accelerator. I was not hit but the could have been a dangerous situation if someone was right behind me.

My 2025 Genesis GV70 stopped accelerating properly. There is a lag when you push on the accelerator pedal and it must be pushed about 75% before it begins to accelerate.
