2019 GENESIS G70

I own a 2019 Genesis G70 3.3T Twin-Turbo V6, VIN [XXX], with approximately 122,000 miles. Twice within approximately two weeks, the vehicle has suddenly and unexpectedly experienced a near-total loss of propulsion while being driven. Without warning, the engine begins shaking and sputtering severely, the Check Engine Light illuminates, and the vehicle provides almost no usable acceleration. The engine does not completely stall but operates barely above a stalled condition. After safely…

2022 Genesis G70: Severe moisture inside of headlights causing DRL, blinkers, headlights, etc., to short out or completely stop working. I had them replaced once under warranty and the same thing happened again. The Genesis dealership and Genesis customer care now refuse to take responsibility bc my warranty expired. They gave me a quote of $6078.95 (labor not included)!! My vehicle has never been wrecked, and there is no front end damage whatsoever.

On XXX, I delivered my 2020 Genesis G70 3.3T AWD Prestige (64,267 miles) to Jenkins Genesis of [XXX], for routine factory-recommended maintenance, including transmission, transfer case, front differential, rear limited-slip differential (LSD), brake fluid, and cooling system services. Before this visit, the vehicle had no history of drivetrain problems. It had recently completed an approximately 8½-hour drive from [XXX] to [XXX], followed by three weeks of normal driving, without any binding,…

I had the known reported issue TSB 25-BE-004G repaired and even after repair there is a burning wire smell that the dealer claims they can’t replicate. We had the same issue with Genesis Plano initially and after driving the vehicle out of state we were stranded and took it to Genesis of Peoria where the issue was diagnosed. We are encountering the issue again and it is a fire risk hazard.

The contact owns a 2023 Genesis G70. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, the Turn Signal Error message was displayed and an orange master warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the residence, where the contact noticed condensation in the passenger’s side headlight. The contact stated that the passenger’s side turn signal bulb was replaced. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer, and it was determined that the passenger’s side headlight…

Crash

While driving home, I engaged the self-driving feature. The vehicle immediately speeded up, and aggressively veered to the left, causing it to exit the roadway onto the grassy median, where it struck several of the metal rails and plastic pylons. This malfunction resulted in a dangerous loss of control that could have resulted in a far more severe collision. Please note the following details regarding the vehicle and its history: - Ownership: I am the second owner of the vehicle and have…

Vehicle is currently disabled due to Open Recall Campaign #262/023G (NHTSA Recall Number 24V528000) for High-Pressure Fuel Pump Failure. On 05/19/2026, the vehicle suffered total loss of drive power at highway speeds (Hwy 16/211), creating an immediate hazard. The manufacturer failed to provide a timely remedy, initially misdirecting me to a dealer unable to service the model. Genesis and the local dealer now refuse to provide a courtesy tow to an authorized facility, despite the vehicle being…

2023 GENESIS G70

Filed Jun 17, 2026

The vehicle experienced a sudden emergency braking intervention on the highway. Alert came on and it said emergency breaking with curved red arrow and the car slowed down from around 70mph-60mph. Lane assist was on but the car was not on cruise control. The problem was resolved after pressing the accelerator. I was not hit but the could have been a dangerous situation if someone was right behind me.

2022 GENESIS G70

Filed Jun 9, 2026

I am reporting a recurring drivetrain defect in my 2022 Genesis G70 3.3T Sport Prestige AWD (current mileage: 20,000 miles). The vehicle produces a prominent, loud mechanical whining and droning noise specifically when driving within the speed range of 55 mph to 65 mph. The issue is highly load-dependent: the noise significantly intensifies and gets louder when decelerating/coasting down through this speed window without the brakes applied and it is very prominent on smooth roads or highway.…
