2023 Genesis GV60 has a recurring pre-active seat belt system malfunction. The seat belt pre-tensioner activates without cause, tightening the seat belt unexpectedly while driving. On March 1, 2026, while driving at normal roadway speed on a double yellow-lined road, my 2024 Genesis GV60 Advance displayed a Check Electric Vehicle System warning. I purchased a used 2023 Genesis GV60 on [XXX] from a franchised Genesis dealer in New Jersey (Genesis of Wayne, Wayne, NJ). At the time of delivery, the vehicle had an open safety recall with an available remedy and it was not completed prior to sale/delivery. After purchase, Genesis’ official recall/campaign lookup for my VIN showed at least one open safety recall listed as “Incomplete.” The dealer had represented that recalls were addressed, but Genesis’ system continued to show the safety…

Car stopped taking a charge. ICCU and fuse seem to have died. This widespread problem needs to be addressed by the manufacturer. It's dangerous and careless to not have fixed the issue years later.

While driving car, I heard a pop sound coming from the back seat, my ICCU had failed and then there was a sudden loss vehicle power and the car went into a limp mode. The car only had 5,650 miles on it. This is a serious safety hazard. The car was towed to the dealership and a new ICCU was installed. The replacement part was the same model number that had failed. I was advised by the service adviser that I could possibly experience another ICCU failure in the future.
