2011 HYUNDAI ELANTRA

Filed Aug 5, 2026

My steering wheel began to make clanking sound and lost the tension that allows for smooth turning of the wheel for both left and right. I looked it up and have found that this is a known issue that Hyundai has not addressed. Hyundai had a batch of bad steering wheel couplers that were installed in numerous models. This steering issue could cause someone to over compensate when turning the steering wheel. Since it does not have tension, it feels like the steering is disconnected from the…

2023 HYUNDAI ELANTRA N

Filed Aug 5, 2026

Throw out bearing leak, resulting in excessive loss of brake fluid and potential for reduced braking ability. Low brake fluid warning light illuminated and was reported to Suburban Hyundai of Troy around 6,000 miles and again around 10,000 miles. Dealer confirmed leak was occurring at throw out bearing, and impacted clutch friction material as well, which could result in a potential inability to accelerate depending on fluid accumulation on clutch. Upon confirmation, dealer replaced throw out…

2024 HYUNDAI PALISADE

Filed Aug 5, 2026

Driver seat moves/repositions on its own after starting vehicle. The seat will move forward, fold you forward into the steering wheel then move far back and reposition to saved setting. Also, while in reverse, the seat will move back all the way and pull you away from the brake/accelerator pedals. This is a safety issue especially while the vehicle is not in park or is in motion. This vehicle has been to a dealer for repair no less than 6 times for this issue. It is an intermittent issue…

2025 HYUNDAI SANTA FE

Filed Aug 5, 2026

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The vehicle suffers from an intermittent, total engine stalling and propulsion failure. Without warning, the engine completely shuts down while driving and automatically drops the vehicle into Accessory (ACC) Mode. The vehicle is fully intact, operational when it restarts, and is available for immediate inspection upon request How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? This issue…

2022 HYUNDAI TUCSON

Filed Aug 5, 2026

Front brake rotors warped causing violent brake pedal pulsating and steering wheel vibration. My vehicle has only 18000 miles. The dealership Hyundai reported problem as a service bulletin TSB 23-BR-004H. I believe this a safety issue and a recall should be annouced.

2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE

Filed Aug 5, 2026

A Hyundai recall 9C2 update was applied to my vehicle. Ever since that update my vehicle hard shifts on cold starts which I fear is damaging the transmission. Hyundai dealer was able to replicate this and keeps advising us that concern is ‘under review with Hyundai’. I have the service order that states this. This problem has been ongoing for Months! I think Hyundai needs to find a resolution to this as my research indicates it is impacting a lot of customers.

2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA

Filed Aug 5, 2026

Car wouldn't start. Makes clicking sound. Mechanic diagnosed it and said timing chain is broken, valves are bent and pistons broken.

2015 HYUNDAI SONATA

Filed Aug 5, 2026

Engine / Short block assembly / Connecting rod bearing seizure. The engine suffered a sudden, catastrophic seizure while I was actively driving on a steep incline mountain road with a cliff on one side and forest on other. The vehicle experienced an immediate, total loss of motive power, forcing an emergency maneuver onto the shoulder in 5 seconds with no power steering or power brakes, creating an extreme collision hazard on a high-speed incline. The rod bearing melted due to a manufacture…

2022 HYUNDAI ELANTRA

Transmission slippage, near failure, unable to accelerate safely past 20mph. Need to floor the gas peddle which causes me to go over the desired speed.

2019 HYUNDAI SONATA

Filed Aug 5, 2026
