2020 HYUNDAI PALISADE

Filed Aug 25, 2026

My 2020 Hyundai Palisade (3.8L GDI Lambda II V6) consumes engine oil at a rate that empties the crankcase between scheduled oil changes, with no warning lamp illuminating before the oil is gone. This creates a risk of engine seizure and sudden loss of motive power in traffic. The vehicle has repeatedly run rough and felt as though it would stall when slowing or stopping. On 3/10/2025 at 57,026 miles I brought it to a Hyundai dealer because it felt like it was about to stall at traffic lights.…

2016 HYUNDAI SONATA

Filed Aug 25, 2026

Component & Inspection: Vehicle engine suffered connecting rod bearing failure and entered restricted P1326 Limp Home Mode (max 2,000 RPM). The vehicle is grounded and available for inspection at Bud Clary Hyundai in [XXX].Safety Risk: Sudden, unexpected loss of power occurred while driving, placing me and other drivers at immediate risk on public roads due to the vehicle's inability to maintain normal traffic speed or safely accelerate.Dealer & Corporate Confirmation: Active P1326 engine code…

2025 HYUNDAI TUCSON HYBRID

Filed Aug 25, 2026

While driving, the infotainment screen (to the right of the driver) begins to flicker. Often if turns completely black and reboots. On at least one occasion, it did not come back on at all for the remainder of the trip. The flickering movement is extremely distracting. The loss of navigation is obviously a problem if you don't know where you are and were relying on it. It is dangerous, could result in injury or death, and should trigger a recall. Hyundai dealerships have NO IDEA how to fix…

2024 HYUNDAI SANTA FE

Filed Aug 25, 2026

2024 Hyundai Santa Fe VIN [XXX], June 2024 build, 62k miles. Vehicle experienced total loss of power and drive, matching NHTSA recall 24V-529 / 263 for DCT failure. Dealer is refusing to perform recall, refusing to provide diagnostic codes via email, and demanding title and all service records before any work. Dealer claims new engine needed but won’t provide proof. This is a safety defect and dealer is violating recall law. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT…

2026 HYUNDAI IONIQ 5

Filed Aug 25, 2026

The vehicle will not turn off. I returned it to the Dealer, Oakland Hyundai, and their service department has had the vehicle since 7/27/26. When I brought the vehicle in to service it had 2,519 miles. Service rep has advised that technicians are trying to find the faulty part and have been unsuccessful to date. A technician from another location is scheduled to see the vehicle during the week of 8/31/26. I have filed a case with Hyundai America and will send a demand for restitution on…

2018 HYUNDAI SONATA

Filed Aug 25, 2026

Since I had Service Campaign 9C2 completed, the car hesitates to start, does a mini-lurch upon cold start and runs rough. Two weeks ago, it was put in park, lurched backwards, then died. The starter and battery have been replaced but this has not helped. The car ran fine before this update was done.

2020 HYUNDAI KONA

Filed Aug 25, 2026

My 2020 Hyundai Kona experienced an engine-related malfunction. An authorized Hyundai dealer inspected the vehicle, confirmed diagnostic code P1327, and determined that the complete engine required replacement. Hyundai authorized the replacement, and the vehicle remained out of service for approximately two weeks. The engine defect created a safety concern because an engine malfunction could cause reduced or complete loss of motive power while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. The…

2020 HYUNDAI PALISADE

Filed Aug 25, 2026

The paint on the roof of my 2020 Hyundai Palisade is peeling off in large sheets, rather than typical chipping or wear. The peeling originates from the center of the roof and has begun spreading toward the area near the front windshield edge. This is not consistent with normal wear and tear, curb rash, or impact damage — the affected areas show clean separation of paint layers down to a lower coat/primer, consistent with a manufacturing defect in paint adhesion or application. Rust is beginning…
