Installing a car seat and the belt buckle failed. The plastic part split and no longer holds the belt together. This was under regular pressure with standard leverage that the car seat design calls for. Nothing was ever on top of the buckle and it is not damaged in any other way at all other than the failure. They refused to replace it via warranty.

While attempting a slow right turn from a complete stop at an intersection, I heard a loud thunk sound followed by an immediate loss of power steering response. The steering wheel spun freely with little resistance while the front tires did not respond proportionally. I was able to safely pull over. Following a 12V auxiliary battery replacement at Dick's Hillsboro Hyundai [XXX] , April 3, 2026), the battery hold-down bracket was left completely unsecured. The retaining bolts were absent, (later found loose in the cargo tray area). The battery terminal cover was also improperly secured. Electric parking break and auto hold sensor lights on dash, manual indicates malfunction. Hyundai service center has investigated and replaced the faulty sensor but issue still remains.

The system lost its ability to audibly warn me of various conditions that were a risk to everybody in the car. Examples of alerts we could not here were: blind spot collision warning, cross traffic while backing up, driver attention alert when hands are not on the steering wheel, and audible blinker sounds. After the loss of the audible alerts, I nearly collided with vehicles that were in my blind spot because the alert was no longer present.

The horn on my 2020 Hyundai Ioniq has stopped working. I checked the fuses and they are all good. Hyundai currently has several other models with recalls or at least known to fail. Yes my vehicle is available for inspection and no I have not had it looked at yet… dealer wants to keep it for 3-5 days to diagnose and further, given the nature of the issue, I don’t feel I should be responsible for any fees involved in doing so.
