2019 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS

Filed Jun 15, 2026

Multiple occurrences where forward collision warning goes off with no vehicles Incident 1. 5/15/2026 Road: Highway I-94 Weather: Clear and sunny Condition: Cruise control on, light traffic, nearest vehicle at least 4 cars in front, 2 vehicles behind and to the right (fast lane), driving in the middle left lane. Forward collision warning went off and took cruise control off. No vehicles stopping in front of me. Incident 2. 6/3/2026 Road: Urban side streets Weather: Clear and sunny Condition:…

2023 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS

Filed Jun 15, 2026

This vehicle has the auto stop start feature. The engine has shut off 3 times while driving and had to be restarted with the ignition since purchasing this vehicle. Twice at a red light and once while braking in a parking lot. This has created an extremely dangerous situation in traffic. When the light turned green the vehicle would not move. The vehicle had to be shifted to park and then started with the ignition. The traffic behind us almost rear ended the vehicle. The one time while braking…

2025 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS

Filed Jun 15, 2026

The capacitive touch controls located below the infotainment screen on this 2025 Volkswagen Atlas — used to adjust climate and audio volume — are not illuminated in low-light or nighttime driving conditions. The controls are invisible without direct light, requiring the driver to look away from the road for an extended period to locate them by feel or sight. No warning lamps preceded this condition; it appears to be a design characteristic. This constitutes a driver distraction hazard during…

2025 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS

Filed Jun 15, 2026

The factory-installed remote start system on this 2025 Volkswagen Atlas operates intermittently, failing to activate approximately 50% of the time. The issue has been reported to an authorized VW dealer. The intermittent nature of the failure has made it difficult to reproduce consistently during service visits. When remote start fails in cold or hot weather conditions, occupants may be forced to enter an extreme-temperature vehicle, presenting a risk particularly to children and vulnerable…

2025 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS

Filed Jun 15, 2026

The power window switches on this 2025 Volkswagen Atlas have repeatedly malfunctioned. The switches fail to operate windows consistently and have been brought to an authorized VW dealer for repair on three or more separate occasions without successful resolution. The defect has been confirmed and documented by the dealer on each visit but remains unresolved. Faulty window switches present a safety risk as they impair the driver’s ability to ventilate the vehicle, communicate with others outside…

The hood release cable snapped while trying to open the hood.

2020 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN

Filed Jun 15, 2026

1 injured

I was driving and a vehicle was making a left hand turn, in the middle lane and they were in their lane and I was in mine, but the vehicle decided to use the automatic breaking which then cause me to have whiplash and it took a few seconds for the car to move and I had other cars behind me. Also, because this happened so quickly with no warning I first had to think did I hit the car, because I would have had no knowledge because the automatic stoping made noise and jolted me. So this is…

2022 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN

Filed Jun 15, 2026

Lane Assistance Warning comes on repeatedly for no apparent reason. It is very distracting and dangerous as it makes a loud noise and flashes on the dashboard. The dealership has replaced the steering wheel to rectify the issue, but it has begun happening again and is no longer covered under the warranty. There seems to be no fix or answer from VW other than replacing the wheel again. Which has only been a temporary fix.

2025 VOLKSWAGEN ID. BUZZ

Filed Jun 15, 2026

Twice now, my center touch screen display has failed to operate upon startup. Restarting the vehicle does not fix the problem. The problem is not able to be replicated for the dealer as it happens at random(twice over 13,000 miles). No warnings predicated the error, nor would they be displayable since the screen is off. The vehicle is able to be driven under the error. The backup camera is not usable under the error making for a very dangerous error. The voice assistant does not function under…

2021 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN

Filed Jun 14, 2026

My 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan is experiencing excessive engine oil consumption. The oil level drops rapidly between oil changes, and I have had to add oil multiple times to prevent engine damage. The low oil warning light has appeared unexpectedly while driving, creating a safety hazard. I am concerned about potential engine failure, stalling, or loss of power at highway speeds. I have reviewed multiple NHTSA complaints from other 2021 Tiguan owners (IDs 11742786, 11741539, 11741067, 11739933)…
