2020 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER

Filed Jul 10, 2026

The contact owns a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated that while driving on the interstate at an undisclosed speed, there was wind underneath the hood, and the hood was vibrating. The contact was concerned about the hood becoming ajar. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was associated with TSB: 21-42A-001. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was test-driven, and the dealer was able to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was…

2015 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER SPORT

Filed Jul 6, 2026

While driving on a highway at approximately 55–60 mph, the vehicle suddenly lost its ability to accelerate and maintain power. The engine RPM increased, but the vehicle would not respond normally, creating a significant safety hazard in traffic. The CVT transmission intermittently enters a reduced-power mode (limp mode), making it difficult to safely merge or continue driving. Diagnostic trouble codes P0776 (Pressure Control Solenoid B Performance) and P0730 (Incorrect Gear Ratio) were…

2015 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER SPORT

Purchased used car in July 2024 and was able to drive it maybe 2 months and the transmission would not shift and would come to a complete stop. Not a safe feeling driving in 3 lanes of traffic on a busy highway at rush hour. Transmission light on and took to mechanic and was told this make and model is notorious for transmission failure and it needs replacing. The odometer is 86316 and car has been sitting now for two years. Of course we went exactly 100 miles over the warranty and now have to…

2023 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER

Recall repair did not solve the camera problem. Rear camera and parking assist camera's do not come on. When car is shifted into reverse, camera does not appear. This issue was already reported and I have completed the recall maintenance for this issue and the problem still persists. This is a massive safety liability. I took the car into the dealership and they confirmed the recall maintenance has already been completed. They then charged me $100 to do a diagnostic test, but they couldn't…

2022 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER

Filed Jun 24, 2026

While putting my car in reverse my backup camera froze and then went completely black. I have tried the hard and soft reset with no luck. You can hear the infotainment system trying to load over and over again with a black screen. While researching, I see there was a previous recall for this exact problem that required a software update which mine had right before I bought it used less than a year ago. If the update did not work or only worked temporarily, the unit had to be replaced. I’m not…

2024 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER

Filed Jun 20, 2026

Front driver seat belt does not retract and has caused damage to door. Vehicle is available for inspection. We are worried that the seatbelt will not function properly in an accident since is does not function properly now. No confirmation by dealer, going in next week for service, however, dealer representative did say on phone that Mitsibishi s don't have seat belt problems??? First noticed problem last winter when I noticed the dents in the door frame being caused by non retracting seatbelt.
