At around 125,000, my car developed a shudder at switching gears. Ford has previously identified a problem with my car, which was manufactured before XXX, and purchased on or around XXX. They have since sent out a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB25-2154). No diagnostic codes are identified for the car, but since my car's extended warranty expired at 100,000 miles, I have a potentially dangerous car, where the torque converter may explode within the transmission and cause catastrophic failure.…

2022 LINCOLN CORSAIR PHEV
Filed Jul 21, 2026
I was driving down the highway at around 70 mph, with one passenger. There had been no indications that anything was wrong with the vehicle. Then I noticed the car slowing down though I had not let up on the gas, which I now understand is called 'limp mode'. The screen said 'service vehicle soon'. It kept slowing down while I carefully pulled to the side of the road. Thankfully I had been in the right lane. This was not a very safe place to be, relatively close to an overpass. I turned off the…

2020 LINCOLN CORSAIR

Hello. I recently had to pay CarMax $1,083 to replace my right rear (tailgate mounted) turn signal assembly. CarMax said the issue was due to a seal failing on the light assembly which allowed water to enter the unit and short out the LED unit. The same issue occured for 2024-25 Corsairs and was addressed by the NHTSA Campaign 25V688 / Ford Recall 25C53 and Lincoln. Can the NHTSA force a recall on earlier models since my 2020 Corsair has the exact same issue? It's unbeleivable that I was faced…

On May 10 a lighted wrench appeared on the instrument panel. The car felt as if I was loosing power. May 12 I got in the car, the wrench and check engine lights were both on. Called the dealer service department. They told me the car is not safe to drive as it cannot accelerator and will go into limp mode.
