On XXX, I was the sole passenger in a driverless Waymo (XXX) in [XXX]. Pickup: Chase Field ~4:14 PM. At ~4:25 PM on [XXX], a multi-lane urban arterial, the automated driving system decelerated the vehicle without cause to ~10 mph and held that speed in the number one (leftmost) lane. The contact stated that the vehicle was unable to fully charge due to the unrepaired recall. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was filed. The contact was informed that the parts were unavailable. Additionally, the contact was denied a buy-back request. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The contact owns a 2020 Jaguar I-Pace. The contact stated that, following the recall repair under NHTSA Campaign Number 26V067000 (Electrical System), the vehicle failed to start. The battery warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who was made aware of the post-repair failure; however, it was neither diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.

The car is on its third battery replacement, now a total of 4 new batteries. Due to a known, ongoing issue that does not have a permanent fix. Resulting in the car being in the repair shop for months. It is recommended to not park in the garage due to the chance of a fire. The battery cannot be charged more than 90% for safety issues.
