Filed Aug 24, 2026
Email I sent to Honda Corporate on XXX. I am contacting executive leadership regarding Honda Corporate Case # ***** My vehicle is currently grounded due to a safety recall and the frame is uninspectable and unsafe to drive per the dealership. A corporate case manager, Breanna, just informed me this afternoon that a buyback AND rental reimbursement will take “months or maybe years”. I was also told that the dealership has not even submitted or released ANY paperwork, even though it has been 2…
2008 HONDA RIDGELINE
Filed Aug 24, 2026
I am filing this complaint regarding our 2008 Honda Ridgeline, VIN [XXX], approximately 129,000 miles, concerning NHTSA Recall 22V-430 / Honda Campaign LCD. The vehicle has spent its life in [XXX], and Honda's VIN lookup showed this recall OPEN/INCOMPLETE. We experienced fuel leaking while fueling, and a piece of severely corroded metal associated with supporting/securing the fuel tank fell from the vehicle. An independent mechanic found extensive rear frame corrosion at the fuel-tank mounting…

1.The rear wheel assembly, lug nuts, and potentially the wheel studs/rear suspension system failed due to improper torque and installation by the dealership. Yes, the vehicle components are available for inspection 2.The dealership released my vehicle with completely untorqued lug nuts on the rear wheel assembly. A lug nut physically fell off onto the public street while driving back to the shop. This severe negligence created an immediate, life-threatening risk of the wheel detaching entirely…
2018 HONDA RIDGELINE
Filed Aug 21, 2026
The vehicle was being driven under normal highway conditions while towing a boat within the vehicle's rated towing capacity. The driver observed the oil pressure warning light illuminate and continued driving normally for approximately 20-30 minutes, at which point the engine lost power and stalled. The vehicle would not restart. Upon inspection, engine oil and transmission fluid were both found at proper levels with no signs of contamination, and the crankshaft was confirmed to be fully seized…
2017 HONDA RIDGELINE
Filed Aug 20, 2026
The contact owns a 2017 Honda Ridgeline. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. The “4WD Failure” message was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact researched and became aware of an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage…
2019 HONDA RIDGELINE

NHTSA Recall Campaign Number Associated: 22V430000 (Honda Codes AOU/AOT) My 2019 Honda Ridgeline is registered in Maine (a designated salt-belt state) and has a completely rusted-through rear subframe. The local authorized Honda dealership inspected the vehicle and officially grounded it, stating it is fundamentally unsafe to drive and cannot pass Maine State Inspection due to structural failure at the suspension mounting points. Despite the clear language of Recall 22V430000 requiring Honda to…
2025 HONDA RIDGELINE
Filed Aug 17, 2026
When stopping with the auto idle stop system engaged, the vehicle failed to auto restart after letting off the brake pedal. This has happened three times with the last two occurrence less than a week apart. The first two times I was in a queue at a stop light and was able to shift into park and manually restart the car and proceed on the road without further incident. The third time in particular I observed that the manual start did not work on the first attempt but did on the second…
2020 HONDA RIDGELINE

When driving normally, oncominng traffic is triggering the frontal collision warning system. Is some cases long enough to start the emergency braking procedure if I do not engage the brakes manually preventing the automatic emergency braking. This usually happens on curves in the road in typically right hand curves. This is happening on 2 lane roads at between 45 and 55 mph. Initiating and emergency braking at this speed could send my car into the oncoming traffic. I am concerned for my safety…
