Engine failed to restart during Auto Idle Stop event. Nearly created an accident.

In August 202, the multipurpose monocular camera failed. My car is a 2019 Honda Odyssey EXL. I was not involved in any accident or incident that would have caused this to fail. I was stopped at a stoplight. The car has idle stop so the engine turns off at the light. When I tried to go the car went into park. I could not get it back in drive and had to turn the car off then back on. Meanwhile I am stuck in the middle of the road with traffic. This has happened several times before.

multipurpose camera stopped working. no direct physical damage to camera so it shouldn't need replacement after 6 years. others with honda odyssey have reported similar defect.

Yesterday (8/21/2026) my husband took this vehicle in for a routine oil change and upon the 100 point inspection was informed there was an oil leak somewhere from the engine. This vehicle is barely 2 years old and barely at 30,000 miles. There were 0 signs of a leak somewhere we had no idea. They completed diagnostics and determined it was the axle seal. 5 times since July 2026 the vehicle 2025 Honda Odyssey fills with the smell of gas. The smell fills the entire garage. After the 4th incident, it was brought to the dealership on 8/18/2026, however they were unable to reproduce the issue smell.
