2017 HONDA CR-V

Filed Aug 5, 2026

My wife’s 2017 Honda cr-v lost power while on the highway. Which could’ve been a safety issue had she not known what to do. We limped it to Honda dealership. They say it was a blown head gasket. The blown head gasket caused the turbo to fail. This is a known issue on the 2017-2022 Honda 1.5 turbocharged engine. Top all that off we already replaced the turbo 4 months prior to the head gasket going out. So that’s two turbos and a head gasket in a 2017 vehicle that has 150,000 mile on it. I…

I purchased this 2017 Honda CRV Touring edition in February 2026. A couple months after that, I was driving slowly (but slightly faster than usual) in the large parking lot of a local grocery story. The grocery store has movable speed bumps placed in the parking lot. As I was approaching one of the speed bumps, the car suddenly slammed on the brakes. To the best of my recollection, I do not believe I was given a warning first. When this happened, I of course felt a jolt. I was worried…

2020 HONDA CR-V

Filed Aug 5, 2026

My vehicle exhibits a sticky steering column and has done so for a few years now. Honda issues a recall notice for 2022 CRV models, but mine is a 2020. The recall number is 24V-744. In June of 2023 with 25260 miles on the vehicle and while still under warranty, I took the car to my local dealer and was told they could not reproduce the issue and the steering was functioning as designed. It has done it ever since! This recall needs to be expanded to incorporate 2020 models as well.

About two years ago on an unfamiliar 2 lane highway the stearing failed to recenter itself at the end of a sweeping corner and felt unusually heavy. Thought it might be tire ruts in the road. Breifly on a couple different occasions the steering didnt feel right, like is it the road or the car. then a few weeks ago on a very familiar stretch of interstate, the car started to pull right so I corrected but the stearing was heavy/ stiff feeling. It continued for about a mile though bends in the…

2021 HONDA CR-V

Description of Incident: Immediately after purchasing this 2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid brand-new at an authorized Honda dealership in Maryland, the driver’s seat frame exhibited abnormal mechanical play. The seat shifts and rocks forward and backward during standard acceleration, braking, and turning maneuvers. The issue was brought to the selling/servicing Honda dealership in Maryland shortly after delivery while under factory warranty. However, dealership service staff refused to repair or…

2023 HONDA CR-V

Filed Aug 4, 2026

On my 2023 Honda CR-V with 79,567 miles, the engine experienced a cylinder 1 misfire while driving, causing the vehicle to lose power and enter limp mode. At the same time, every warning light on the dashboard illuminated. The sudden loss of power created a serious safety risk because I was unable to accelerate normally and had to safely maneuver the vehicle out of traffic, increasing the risk of a collision. I took the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership, where the problem was confirmed…

2020 HONDA CR-V

Filed Aug 4, 2026

All the safety lights came on on the dashboard suddenly the brake assist did not work. Honda tells me the brake servo is bad. This is a known defect as other 2020 crv hybrids were recalled for the same reason. It is a dangerous safety hazard.

2022 HONDA CR-V

Filed Aug 4, 2026

It seems that once the vehicle has been driven for a bit and things heat up, the steering will become 'sticky' when trying to turn, even small turns of the steering wheel. This is accompanied by a creaking sound when turning. At high speeds this is especially concerning due to the steering sticking, which then requires a big of additional force, which abruptly yanks the direction of the vehicle as opposed to smooth steering transitions. The problem was diagnosed by a local mechanic center,…

2022 HONDA CR-V

Filed Aug 3, 2026

The contact owns a 2022 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds and turning on several occasions, the steering wheel became firm and excessive force was needed to turn the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed, and it was determined that the rack and pinion and gearbox needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact believed that the failure was associated with an unknown recall. The manufacturer was notified of the…

2018 HONDA CR-V

Filed Aug 3, 2026

The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving 53 MPH with the cruise control feature engaged, the vehicle started losing motive power with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact pulled over to the shoulder of the highway and had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic. The mechanic performed a diagnostic test and discovered that the fuel pump was inoperable and needed to be replaced. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign…
