2016 FORD MUSTANG

Filed Aug 5, 2026

Nelson v. Ford Motor Company is a class action lawsuit targeting a defect in Ford's 2.3-liter EcoBoost engines. The suit highlights coolant leaks into engine cylinders, overheating, and catastrophic engine failures. I have had my 2016 ford mustang ecoboost in and out of mechanic shops for months now accumulating well over $7K in out of pocket expenses. I have been to multiple mechanics trying to diagnose and fix the problem but in the end it was a design flaw in the 2016 ford mustang ecoboost 4…

2014 FORD MUSTANG

Filed Aug 4, 2026

I am reporting a safety hazard and a failure by Ford Motor Company to properly remedy the mandatory Takata Airbag Recall. Following the recall repair, a technician reassembly error left the airbag warning light permanently illuminated, meaning my Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) is completely disabled and will not deploy in a crash. I took the vehicle to Astro Ford in Mississippi for resolution. The Service Manager, Hunter Landry, attempted to reset the system three times and confirmed a…

2018 FORD MUSTANG

Filed Aug 4, 2026

Was driving my vehicle roughly 10-15mph after a stop, noticed vehicle wasn’t shifting into the gears properly as it was only in 2nd gear and the RPMs kept climbing, when it finally shifted into 3rd gear my transmission proceeded to lockup cause my rear tires to skid and stop in the middle of traffic and in the middle of an intersection disrupting the flow of traffic. Vehicle displayed a wrench light on the dash saying “see manual” as related to a Powertrain issue. Vehicle is in limp mode and…

2024 FORD MUSTANG

Filed Aug 3, 2026

I am extremely disappointed with Ford’s handling of my situation and the lack of customer support for what appears to be a premature major component failure. I own a 2024 Ford Mustang GT with only 56,022 miles. While driving, my air conditioning suddenly stopped blowing cold air. I took the vehicle to an authorized Ford dealership, where it was diagnosed with a catastrophic A/C compressor failure. The compressor had internally locked up, sending metal shavings throughout the A/C system. I was…

2014 FORD MUSTANG

Filed Aug 3, 2026

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted to a low gear. The check engine warning light illuminated and remained illuminated after the first failure. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road, restarted, and the contact continued driving. The contact stated that during the last failure, while attempting to restart the vehicle, the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle…

2020 FORD MUSTANG

Filed Aug 3, 2026

The 10-speed automatic transmission on my 2020 Mustang failed internally at approximately 18,073 miles. The vehicle began shifting harshly at low speeds with an intermittent clunk. While driving, the transmission would slip slightly and then either surge forward or hesitate with a dull thud before engaging. The behavior was unpredictable and worsened over time. No warning lamp ever appeared and no diagnostic trouble codes were stored, so the driver gets no advance notice of this condition. …

2022 FORD MUSTANG

Filed Aug 2, 2026

It's the 4th time in the last 3 weeks that the passenger door which is locked just opens on its own. I start to hear the air hissing and I get a door open alarm in the dashboard. Scary because 2x it was while on I -4 and almost lost control of the car trying to figure out what was happening and trying to reach for the door.

2015 FORD MUSTANG

Filed Aug 2, 2026

Clutch assembly failed, the metal bracket weld cracked/failed resulting in the clutch pedal being inoperable. It's not available for inspection since I had it replaced and the defective assembly disposed of. My safety was at risk since I had extreme difficulty shifting gears on the road. The issue was confirmed at an independent service center - AAMCO of Huntsville, AL. No other entity inspected the part. The vehicle gave me no warning or indication of a problem other than the difficulty…

2016 FORD MUSTANG

Filed Jul 31, 2026

The passenger side door is periodically opening to the first catch while driving on the highway without anyone touching the handle and it does not matter that the door is locked. It is very scary for any passenger when it happens. For the driver the tendency is to try to reach over and re-close the door at highway speed which seems dangerous.

2025 FORD MUSTANG

Filed Jul 28, 2026

The contact owns a 2025 Ford Mustang. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V546000 (Exterior Lighting) and 26V418000 (Visibility); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that several exterior lights randomly illuminated while the vehicle was turned on or off, causing the battery to drain. The parking lights, headlights, and the…
