Vibration and shrouding under light and heavy acceleration, the harder the acceleration the stronger the vibration, feels like truck is falling apart.

Truck started to shake when accelerating past 50 mph. The shaking would stop once the speed limit was reached and you let off the accelerator. Web search results showed 2022, 2023 & 2024 Ford Maverick hybrids are known for CV axle failures with those symptoms. Vehicle was around 48,000 miles. Dealership replaced both CV axles under the 5 year/60,000 mile warranty.

The Ford Maverick is subject to rodent invasions which caused an engine fire. We had to file a State Farm Insurance Claim ($4016.36 of repairs done to repair the engine including electrical, emission system, cowl, fuel system, and insulation.) This was completed XXX. We have been faithfully spraying the engine with Rodent Repellent, using Natural Repeller packs, and rat snap traps. We have regularly checked the engine to see if they have come back. Yesterday, XXX, low and behold there was…

While driving my 2022 Ford Maverick on a public road, the vehicle suddenly lost acceleration and would not respond normally when I pressed the accelerator. I was left in the roadway and could not safely continue driving, creating a risk of being struck by other traffic. The vehicle was later inspected by a Ford dealership and diagnosed with a major internal transmission failure at approximately 62,000 miles. The Ford dealership recommended a rebuilt/replacement transmission. The vehicle remains…

*** VEHICLE FIRE RISK *** Drivers dash tweeter started smoking and the dash became hot to the touch near the windshield. Smelled something electrical burning. Smoke stain on LWR LH windshield corner. Removed key. Exited vehicle and heard static from drivers door speaker. Entered car, re-started vehicle and static from the one-speaker-only did not stop. Removed key, exited vehicle, and the drivers door speaker was still emitting static sound. About 15 minutes later, the static sound stops…
2023 FORD MAVERICK HYBRID

At around 27K miles the two front CV axles began to fail. I brought it to the Ford dealership and they confirmed that both needed to be replaced. It was a $1600 repair. There have been a lot of complaints from Ford Maverick owners who have had CV axle failures at very low miles on their vehicles. These parts typically last 100K to 150K miles and it's not unusual for them to last the lifetime of the vehicle. There is no reason both front CV axles should be failing with 27K miles on a…

I bought the vehicle new and after 15,000 miles my electric brake booster is making a noise when I depress the brake pedal. I am concerned the internal mechanism will fail and I will lose the brake booster. The dealer is dismissing it as a normal noise. I have a few friends that have had the same issue and their dealers replaced the electric brake booster and the problem went away.

On 7-2-26, my 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid was brought to College Station Ford to receive the remedy for mandatory Safety Recall 24S59 (NHTSA Campaign 24V684000) regarding the frozen Rear View Camera display image.
