My 2016 Ford has EcoBoost coolant intrusion defect, The system failed to hold pressure, dropping significantly below operational thresholds. A subsequent borescope inspection confirmed that coolant is actively leaking past the block sealing surface and directly flooding the engine cylinders. The service facility has confirmed that because the structural engine block itself is defective, a simple head gasket replacement is mathematically unviable. The only permanent, safe solution is a complete…

It just started happening. Sweet smelling white fumes emitting from exhaust pipes and engine. Mechanic said not to drive it. It was a head gasket issue. Repair cost estimate at $10,000. I needed a car . Fix or buy?? No time to fix. Sold to car yard for $3,800. Car was pristine. Garaged, about 50,000 miles. Caused a financial hardship and I was stranded 200 miles from home.

Ecoboost Coolant Intrusion. 2.0L Ecoboost engines common in (2015-2018) models suffer from a design flaw where the coolant leaks directly into the combustion cylinders. Took my car to to Ford repair shop Lucas Ford on [XXX] in New Jersey and they said I need a new engine due to this exact flaw. I was quoted $9000. If this is a known flaw Ford Company should pay or replace my engine. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
