Some 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E vehicles equipped with nickel, cobalt and manganese (NCM) standard/extended range battery with minor feature codes HTHAD/HTHAE and 2022-2025 e-Transit vehicles equipped NCM standard range battery with minor feature codes HUKAL/HUKAA may require a high voltage battery module replacement. Technicians can now replace the affected battery module for high voltage batteries with a state of health (SOH) of 70% or higher. It is no longer necessary to replace the complete high voltage battery assembly for vehicles with 70% SOH or higher. Additionally, the battery health chart has been updated to display the actual battery SOH as a percentage and now requires the selection of checkboxes corresponding to the specific high voltage battery module(s) being replaced. After a high voltage battery module replacement and battery reinstallation, relaunch the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) BECM - Battery Health application which will prompt for confirmation of a successful repair. Some 2026 Transit vehicles may exhibit a Rear Belt Monitor Fault Service Required message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) while in transport mode. The vehicles rear belt monitor system will operate as designed once transport mode is exited and the vehicle enters normal mode after a key cycle. This condition does not affect vehicle durability, and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this fault message at this time.

Some 2026 Transit vehicles shipped with an upfitter rear view camera kit (minor feature code J3KAQ) may exhibit diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1001:55 stored in the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. These vehicles are shipped with the rear-view camera kit in a box in the vehicle. Once installed, if the rear-view camera is functional when the vehicle is placed into reverse but the DTC is still present in the APIM, no further repair/calibration/initialization steps are needed. To confirm a vehicle is built with minor feature code J3KAQ, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner of the Professional Technician System (PTS).

Some 2026 Transit vehicles may exhibit diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B15E0:01 stored in the body control module (BCM) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. If there are no observable symptoms, the DTC may not clear and no further action is required. Replacement and/or programming of the BCM will not resolve this condition. If there is an observable symptom follow normal workshop manual diagnosis. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-10 Multifunction Electronic Modules > Diagnosis and Testing > Pinpoint test Q.

Some 2021-2025 F-150, 2022-2025 Expedition/Navigator, 2023-2025 F-Super Duty, 2024-2025 Ranger and 2026 Transit vehicles may exhibit a discharged battery and/or a no crank/no start condition. The vehicle may also exhibit a clicking noise from the trailer module (TRM) while the vehicle is off. This may be due to software in the TRM. Verify the TRM software part number in the vehicle using Ford diagnosis and repair system (FDRS) to be PC3T-19J297-BF, PC3T-19J297-FF, ML3T-19J297-CD or ML3T-19J297-GD. To confirm a vehicle is equipped with a certain software level, review the software information by hovering over the Diagnostics tab in Professional Technician System (PTS) and selecting Vehicle Software. If one of the listed software part numbers is present, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the TRM. For vehicles with any other software part number in the TRM, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 414-01 to continue with normal diagnostics outside of this article. For claiming use causal part 19H332 and labor operation 12651D and 12651D4 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS)

Some 2026 Transit vehicles built with the Delivery Assist feature (minor feature code AAEAZ) may exhibit diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U2013:04 stored in the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. To confirm a vehicle is built with minor feature code AAEAZ, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner of the Professional Technician System (PTS). If there are no observable symptoms with the audio controls, no further action is required. Replacement and/or programing of the APIM or audio controls will not resolve this condition. If there is an observable symptom, follow normal Workshop Manual diagnostics.

Some 2022-2025 E-Transit vehicles may exhibit an unsuccessful programmable module installation (PMI) and/or software updates on the GWM using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. FDRS may also show the GWM in the toolbox topology view as having diagonal lines through it, indicating that there is a data error for the GWM. This may be due to missing module configuration data in the Ford database. To correct this condition, select the envelope icon at the top right corner of FDRS, select Refresh Vehicle Files, then click Continue. Once the Refresh Vehicle Files completes, start a new FDRS session and then reattempt GWM programming. Engineering is working to correct this module data. The concern is expected to be resolved by October 2025.

Quality improvements include: -Addresses key off load battery usage caused by Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) remaining awake. Telematics Control Unit is updated to match the APIM software. 

Certain 2023, 2024 and 2025 Model Year Ford E-Transit  BEV BCM M3 Battery Management Configuration On some of the affected vehicles, the customer’s vehicle may not start due to a depleted 12-volt  battery. This issue may occur after the vehicle has been parked for an extended period of time (e.g.  two months). The customer may see a cluster message such as “12V Battery Fault - Service Soon”  before the 12-volt battery is completely depleted.
