Manufacture has not provided a remedy for shift cable recall that was announced October 2025…it is now May 2026

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. The contact stated the vehicle failed to start. All the warning lights were illuminated. The contact indicated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V674000 (Power Train). The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

The contact owns a (YMM) 2010 Hyundai Elantra. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: (example: 20V315000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was/was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. 

Shifter cable bushing failure - 1st recall in 2019, took to Dodge, was replaced in April of 2020. October 2025, safety recall replacement for the 1st recall fix as the shifter cable bushing failure, and as of May 12th 2026, there is NO remedy. My bushing broke April 2026 and I can't get it repaired. The transmission shift cable on the vehicle may fail to maintain its connection to the transmission. Car failing to start. Stating vehicle not in park while actually being in park. Also vehicle states that engine is warming wait to start no matter the temperature outside. Waited this morning for 2hrs for the vehicle to start it did not start. This is an emergency hazard for a vehicle to not start due to a computer issue. The current recall i attempted to go to the manufacturer however the manufacturer hasn’t formed a remedy to resolve the issue yet.
