Chevrolet Trailblazer

I was driving down the highway when the 3 bolts holding the exhaust under the car broke off. My exhaust was dragging down the highway until I could safely get pulled over. The bolts are welded in of course so you can’t just put new bolts in you have to replace the whole catalytic converter, which is a pain to do unless you take it to the dealer and pay $2000.

My timing belt snapped prematurely, causing a total loss of engine power while driving on the highway, which is a severe safety hazard

The contact owned a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle crashed into the rear passenger side of a second vehicle. I am submitting this report regarding my 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer because it has been experiencing the Shift to Park issue described in the GM bulletin 19-NA-206. Even when the vehicle is shifted into Park, it intermittently displays a Shift to Park message and does not recognize that the transmission is in Park. shift to park issue on a 21 traiblazer causing your car to not being able to shutdown entirely meanwhile the shift is perfectly on Park.

Shifter does not recognize its in park, from what I read this affects thousands. Why am I having to sit in my car for minutes at a time? is Chevy not required to handle the fixing of that switch. What a subpar design team they have. I just had to cough up over $800 to fix rusting because of shit wheel design that doesn't protect those components. Vehicle displays Shift to Park when vehicle is in park & you push the ignition button & audible chime occurs. Apparently this is a known issue for Chevrolet Trailblazers & Buick Encore GX vehicles model year 2021 & newer. You have to either wiggle the gear shifter several times & depress/wiggle the shift lever button in order to turn off the vehicle. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes to get it to work.

My trailblazer will not shift properly into drive from park or reverse. GM calls this a loss of forward motion or delayed forward engagement in their service bulletin TSB-24-NA-009. It is a safety issue because you never know when or how long the vehicle will take to engage and allow forward movement. purchased a brand new vehicle in 2022 Since purchase I have had multiple issues with said vehicle for which I will list. The car showed an error message saying shift to park when trying to turn the car off. The car was in park and showed in park on the dashboard & shifter but the error message still said it wasn’t in park. While this error is showing it will not allow the car to shut off or lock doors. I have a little over 19k miles on this car and should not have this issue. After researching this has been a know issue with their vehicles for years and it still has not been addressed.
