2025 CHEVROLET TAHOE

Filed Aug 24, 2026

I have 19,000 miles. After each oil change, the engine begins to idol rough, the vehicle violently shakes and the traction control and ABS turn off. The first time this happened it was determined that there was a cylinder (4) failure causing a missfire. This was corrected under warranty. A few months later immediately after receiving an oil change again, the same actions occurred. This time the computer is showing a cylinder (7) failure and engine missfire. This is very similar to what is…

Nearly new Chevrolet Tahoe in 2021 with less than 4,000 miles had an engine failure due to defective valve lifters that required a significant repair and lengthy out of service period (replaced valve lifters in one bank). Now in 2026 the same vehicle's engine has failed for the same reason and the engine needed to be replaced.

This vehicle is subject to Safety Recall N252494000 / NHTSA Campaign 25V274 for a known L87 6.2L V8 engine defect. Prior to the June 2025 recall notice, I incurred repair costs for the same defect at Schumacher Chevrolet, [XXX], on XXX ($405.63) and XXX ($2,755.76), neither of which resolved the issue. On XXX and again on 02/14/2025, the vehicle suffered total loss of propulsion on [XXX], once causing a missed professional licensing exam and requiring emergency roadside repair. The vehicle's…

2023 CHEVROLET TAHOE

Filed Aug 23, 2026

My 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe (VIN: [XXX]) suffered a catastrophic failure of the 6.2L V8 L87 engine assembly — specifically the connecting rod and crankshaft components — at freeway speeds on [XXX], just 9 days after purchase. The original failed engine is no longer available for inspection as it was removed and returned as a core by Shaheen Chevrolet in Lansing, MI as part of the warranty replacement process. The only symptom prior to failure was a brief squeaking noise that began approximately…

6.2L engine failure. Camshaft and lifters. My [XXX] wife ([XXX]) was driving and it shut off going down the highway. It is at my local Chevrolet dealer getting repaired. No warnings. No engine light. Vehicle has 88,000 miles on it, I purchased it April 22, 2026 with 84,700 miles on it. My Chevrolet App says there are no issues with the vehicle..it’s in pieces at the dealership. I had higher standards for a high country. Always owned Chevrolets. May be my last one. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT…

2021 CHEVROLET TAHOE

Engine failure of the 6.2L L87. Was 12 hours from home with my family on vacation in Colorado cruising up a 4 lane mountain highway about 700 yards from entering [XXX] thru the mountain and the engine started screaming and knocking. Thank the lord there was a way I could quickly steer my vehicle and family off the 65 mph hwy. Engine had recently passed the recall inspection test. “3,000ish miles ago” dealership confirmed engine failure and it’s sitting in cooorado waiting for a replacement…
