I am writing regarding my 2026 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 1LT and a very serious safety incident that occurred while driving on the Garden State Parkway. The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that a strong fuel vapor odor was noticed inside and outside the garage where the vehicle was stored. Based on research, the contact suspected a fuel pump failure. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed with a damaged fuel pump. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 65,000.

I live in Las Vegas, NV where temperatures outdoors frequently exceed 100 degrees F in the summer, and in properly permitted garages without air conditioning, it gets very hot.
