On December 27, 2025, while using the vehicle’s Automated Park Assistant feature to reverse into my assigned parking space in my enclosed residential garage, my 2025 BMW X6 failed to detect a fixed concrete structural column directly in its path. On three separate occasions the back doors of the truck opened while the car was at speed. The first time (1/20/26) it was the passenger-side back door. No one was sitting in the car aside from the driver. Driver noticed the door ajar light come on after being at speed and then looked back to see the back door slightly opened, then pulled over and closed it. This issue of the Starter not functioning properly was identified by the manufacturer and brought to my attention through their correspondence. Later confirmed on the NHSTA website. To date, no fix has been made available.

Wiring from knee air bag to module failed. Had to repair wiring from front driver and passenger knee air bags. Wiring had a short to ground. Resulted in a $1600 bill.
