Since purchasing my vehicle, I have experienced numerous ongoing issues that BMW has failed to address. The problems include: A squealing and beeping noise coming from the engine. I was driving on the interstate at about 65-70 MPH when the sunroof exploded without apparent cause. This caused glass to be scattered throughout the vehicle and given the sudden event, sound and disruption to driving I would say that this is a safety issue. The same day this happened I dropped the car off at the dealer for repair estimate and coincidentally there was another BMW, a new X7, that just had the same thing happen without cause. belt tensioner failed while on highway without warning, leading to complete shutdown of the engine. Car had to be towed for repair. Complete disintegration of the timing belt, the car only had 51,000 miles. Expensive repair

There is an open safety recall for the engine starter on this vehicle. I contacted the local BMW dealer on 7/10/26 to have the recall fixed they advised me that they cannot address the recall because BMW North America has not sent the parts out for them to do so. I would like this on record in case there is any future damage to my vehicle due to the recall.

The contact owns a 2022 BMW X3. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed in hot weather, the air conditioner failed to operate as intended. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the air conditioner line was rubbing against a pulley, presenting a fire hazard. The contact was informed that the air conditioner hose needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.

Heat Management Module HMM is bad. BMW used a plastic part that is right up against the engine block. Lane keep assist performance has been degrading to the point that it very quickly disables itself when overcorrecting or an oscillation of the steering wheel is developed while system is trying to keep the car inside the lane (which eventually also disables the system).
