2020 PORSCHE 911

Filed Apr 27, 2026

Both my rear break lights are showing stress cracks from movement of the frame of the body. There are other references to this happening online from other owners and it's a manufacturer defect. I brought to the dealer and was told that they should be replaced for $3000 each as they are allowing water to intrude and will cause a shorting out of the brake lights. No brake lights would be a major hazard. The cracks in both lights were not due to impacts. It is a design issue.

I am writing to express my significant frustration regarding the handling of NHTSA Recall 25V896. I dropped off my vehicle several weeks ago following the recall notice, only to be informed later that the software remedy is not expected until Q2 2026. It is unacceptable to request that customers surrender their vehicles for a recall when the manufacturer is not yet prepared to provide the necessary service or solution.

Woke up one morning and noticed a very strong gas smell coming from the car while driving with the windows down, even at low speed. Once I noticed the smell I stopped driving and exited the vehicle and again noted the very strong smell. I immediately took the car to the nearest Porsche service dealership in Beverly Hills. The repair was covered by warranty, and the issue was found to be due to a leakage from the fuel supply line that runs from the fuel tank to the engine. This is a very serious…

Rear taillights can fall off the vehicle. This component is available for inspection and causes issues when other motorists are unable to see turn signals, brake lights, fog lights, and reverse lights. Mine fell off while driving on the highway and then through the city. There were no warning lights or indicating of the issue.

The center lock bolts to the wheels increase in tightness when driven even a short distance. All four of my bolts have consistently tightened to over 800 ft/lbs of torque after being installed at Porsche dealerships. The car was delivered new in Sept 2023. The first attempt to remove the bolts were nearly impossible being over tight. The car was sent to the dealership to address this issue, to no resolve; Jan 8, 2024. Porsche - South Austin stated “CHECKED AND CORRECTED WHEEL TORQUE TO FACTORY…

There is a fuel line above the engine that is leaking fuel onto the top of the engine and running down to the exhaust components. Car is giving off a very strong gas smell. Brought it to Porsche Jacksonville and they are replacing the fuel line above the engine. They have to pull the engine to do so. No warning messages at all, just a strong gas smell. You can pull the rear engine cover and look into the engine bay and find the fuel on top of the engine, or brownish discoloring from fuel.
