I HAVE BEEN AN ARDENT SUPPORTER OF THE MERCEDES-BENZ LINE FOR MANY YEARS AND MODELS. CURRENTLY I OWN A 1993 300SE AND MY SUMMER CAR, A 1978 450SL. BOTH OF MY CARS ARE MAINTAINED TO THE HIGHEST OF STANDARDS, IT IS NOT A EXAGGERATION TO SAY THAT YOU COULD EAT OFF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT OF EITHER CAR. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1992 MERCEDES BENZ 300E (NA). THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE IN PARK, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE WHAT WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. I REITERATE ....THIS VEHICLE IS A DEATH TRAP! MERCEDES BENZ INSTALLED POWER SEAT CONTROLLERS IN THIS CAR THAT FAIL VERY FREQUENTLY. WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 25 MPH MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND I COMPLETELY LOST THE BRAKE FUNCTION, THE CAR WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN. I STEERED THE CAR TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER AND IT TOOK IT ANOTHER 200 TO 300 FEET TO STOP. THE DASH TURNED RED AND HAD A WARNING STOP REDUCED BRAKING POWER DEPRESS BRAKE FULLY SBC WARNING I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT, EVERYTHING WENT BACK TO NORMAL.
