While driving approximately 50 mph, we heard a sudden, extremely loud bang, followed immediately by the sound of shattering glass. Following the previous steering recall we noticed that the steering wheel had started to stick when turning. We brought it in for maintenance and to have them look at the steering. It has been identified as an internal failure of the steering rack.

Campaign 6524A Recall was completed in JUNE 2024. The recall repair has now failed and the steering is sticking/malfunctioning when you turn the steering wheel. Reliable Mazda dealership in Springfield Missouri informed me yesterday the recall was already completed and now I will be responsibility for the bill to repair the failed RECALL repair. While the vehicle was being driven under normal operating conditions, the driver's front seatbelt lower lap anchor completely broke loose and separated from the lower vehicle frame sill.
